The Life of Scott Dwyer – Family man, Entrepreneur, and Internet Marketer.
Welcome to my personal website - if you are anything like me you may want to change your position which may be financial pressures, lack of time with the people you love, or not feeling 100% about yourself…then read on, as within my life I’ll explain how I managed to become focussed over what i truly wanted to achieve. My goals were to make enough money to support my family and lifestyle I had always dreamed of.
The reason I started this business was because I wanted to have real control over my future, work from home when I wanted, and do the things that I knew would be fulfilling and give support to others (which is very important to me) My journey started in Management training at Lloyd’s of London – in which time saw major events for the Chairman of Lloyd’s. One serious time in my life was when the BishopGate bomb blew less than 50 yards from the Lloyd’s building – I had just cleared the building of over 800 guests and myself and the core team of Security and Caterers wrere still within the building.I was at the front of the building when the bomb happened and when someone says did the earth move – yes it did that night….I walked out of London met by my Parents around 1am in the morning and will never forget this. I followed onto the Monteray Facilities Management Conract supporting BT and my region grew to over 300 buildings with 240 staff including BT Tower. This was again one of the most challenging roles I had ever undertaken with five regional managers reporting in, all with their own challenges.
How did I begin Coaching?
I began “coaching” businesses in a small business close to home, building the SuccessCoach programme for the Carpet Cleaning industry growing the programme to over 60 companies- with an aim to help them grow their businesses. We had some great success stories and I am privelidged that a number are still my clients.
Present day - I am running my Coaching Practice after resigning from a Corporate Career (I then phoned my Wife!) which had a great salary. however this is when I really started taking control of my destiny. I still coach clients today, however the focus of my attention is helping others build the level of passive income they want, to achieve their ambitions.
I am now very pleased to be working with some great people, Andy Harrington (I am a member of the Academy of Proferssional Speakers) Stuart Ross (Personally mentored by the Founder of Six Figure Mentors) and Jonathan Jay (I am a member of the Academy of Professional Coaches) to note a few and recently with Chris Ogle (SME7) and John Kettley (Sales Masters Guild).
What is the one thing that drives me? MY LOVELY FAMILY!
My driving force each and every day is the family I absolutely adore! My beautiful Wife Emma, Holly (my princess) – 8yrs and Oliver (big boy) – 5 yrs. I just love spending time with them especailly seeing them nurture and grow…they never cease to amaze me, and make me smile each and every day. Since losing both parents in the six months up until they were born, my family life was turned upside down when this happened. It is still challenging for me when I think over losing them and how now I want to make sure I am the best Husband and Dad to my family…..hence the reason for sharing this with you was the main reason for wanting my own business to give me the time amd freedom most people only dream about! Our future is mapped out with potentially taking a gap year in Australia to soak up that glorious sunshine; and give our children life experiences….
The changes I have conciously made are now where I want to be....we are taking breaks as a family which I love, I walk my children to School and spend time learning about them. Whilst teaching them skills involving life – they are also teaching me!
My passions also lead to helping others and in Sept 2008 formed a team and cycled John ‘O’ Groats to Lands End; in eleven days rasing over £5,000 for East Anglian Childrens Hospice and other childrens charities. My current challenges for this year are a Swimathon – 3.5 miles; a triathlon, and possibly London to Paris on the bike. This is all a big lead up to Ironman in 2012 which is 2.5 mile swim, 112 miles on the bike followed by a 26.5 mile run (marathon) – and yes all in one day!
The future for Scott Dwyer??
I want to truly inspire others with a big picture mission to create a “Business Academy” whereby a serious group of business people connect, and help each other to grow…leading to a retreat for these business owners and families to ensure they are able to have the time together they commit to . I also want to work with Stuart Ross and Andy Harrington in the future as a personal goal is also to become a professional speaker around the World promoting the awareness of you can achieve YOUR true potential in business and in life!
My commitments extend to support the Six Figure Mentors community and SME7- a practitioner course for business consultants, coaches and trainers launching in May 2012, and the growth of the Sales Masters Guild.
